Address -> iPod Conduit

For Mac OS X

copyright 2002, Stand Alone, Inc.

If you own an iPod, you may be aware that the newest version of the iPod software allows you to view a contact list on the iPod.

If you've got a Palm Powered device, you can export contact information directly from the Palm Desktop Software. However, if you modify your contact list, you'll need to re-export and then place that file onto your iPod manually.

Address -> iPod automates this process. Each time you HotSync, your address book is automatically exported in vCard format to the iPod (assuming it's hooked up to your Mac and acting as a FireWire drive.)

Installation

Just place the Address -> iPod conduit into your Conduits folder (located on your OS X volume, /Library/Application Support/Palm HotSync/Conduits):

If your HotSync Manager is currently open, you should quit it, then restart it.

Setup & Configuration

Open your HotSync Manager and select "Conduit Settings" from the "HotSync" menu. Then select the "Address -> iPod" Conduit and click the "Conduit Settings" box. You will see the following screen:

The only configuration you'll need to perform is selecting your iPod by clicking the "Find iPod" button

Usage

Just perform a HotSync. All your contacts will be exported to the iPod automatically!
