ControlBar provides a popup tool strip accessible from anywhere within the Palm OS. You can configure this strip by adding modules, either those provided with the application, or supplied by a third party. To access the ControlBar, simply do a reverse menu stroke: After making this stroke, the ControlBar will appear: The various icons on the ControlBar each perform different actions. You can drag the bar to any side of the screen, or make it vertical: After first installing it, or when adding additional tools, you can configure it by tapping the ControlBar icon in the Application Launcher (). When the application opens, you will be presented with a checklist of tools: Those icons that are checked off will appear in the bar. You can preview what the bar will look like by tapping the button. Check off a tool to include it in the bar, and uncheck it to remove it. If you want to delete a tool, or beam it to another users, you can tap the , which will bring up the Tool Manager: From this screen, you can tap on a tool, then either beam or delete it. You can configure your ControlBar preferences via the menu, which will bring up the Preferences screen: If "Enable ControlBar" is checked, you can access the ControlBar in any application. If you decide to delete ControlBar, be sure to uncheck this checkbox first. "Show Time in ControlBar" toggles the digital clock in the ControlBar on and off. If "Show Large Icons" is checked, the large icons for the ControlBar are used. Each of the tools are described below:
