Instructions on Installing using HotSync Manager (for Macintosh users)
Palm Desktop Install Tool
These are some some general steps to take to install the software using the
Palm Install Tool which came with the Windows version of the Palm Desktop
organizer software. Please refer to the handbook which came with your
Palm OS organizer for specific, detailed, and up-to-date procedures on
installing software.
Open Install Tool
Often double-clicking on the icon for the PRC, PDB, or PNC file will launch
this application. If it does not, you can open the Install Tool from the Palm
Desktop application (go to the "View" menu and select "Install").
Select User
In the drop-down list at the top of the Install Tool dialog-box, select the
name which corresponds to your organizer. Typically there will be only one
name unless you are synchronizing multiple Palm OS devices with your desktop
computer.
Add the software
Often dragging the icon for the PRC, PDB, or PNC file will add the software
to the list of applications to install on your Palm OS organizer. If it does
not, you can click the "Add..." button and select the file using the
Open dialog-box. Click the "Done" button to close the dialog-box.
Synchronize
Perform a HotSync operation as described in the handbook which came with your
Palm OS organizer. After the HotSync has completed, the software will be
available on your Palm OS organizer. Open the Applications Launcher on your
organizer and switch the category "All" (in the upper right corner of the
screen) to display all of your applications. If you were installing a PRC
file it should show up. If your were installing a PDB file it will not
be displayed here (databases are not displayed by the Applications Launcher).

this application. If it does not, you can launch the Install Handheld Files
dialog-box from the Palm Desktop menu (go to the "HotSync" sub-menu and select
"Install Handheld Files..." from the list of options). If you do not have a
Palm Desktop menu on the menubar, or the "HotSync" sub-menu does not appear,
open the HotSync application and select "Install Handheld Files..." from the
"HotSync" menu.
Select User
